Welcome to VIA - our cozy little corner of the world. We are Katrina Bean and Sarah Morgando, two curious, loving and open-minded individuals who speak honestly about what it means to be human. Our Podcast features impactful guest stories and raw conversation. We celebrate differences, favor the bold, and show up with curiosity in a divisive world. We dare ourselves to exist fully and openly; to learn a deeper truth about the world by understanding all who live in it. We desire to end stigmas, lessen fears and empower others to live authentically and inclusively. Listen in to lower your cortisol levels and experience community healing in our modern world.

Episode 43 is different. Katrina and Sarah call Minneapolis home, and in this moment, it feels essential to speak from where we are—physically, emotionally, and collectively. In the midst of current events and unrest in our city, we come together to check in, name the tension we’re carrying, and share our perspectives with honesty and care.
This conversation is real. We slow down to feel our feelings—and yes, it gets emotional. As we move toward the heart of the matter, we explore why it’s crucial to find a way through in order to know what is true for you. To hold with acceptance that light does not exist without dark—it's always going to be both. The question becomes: now what? What are we going to do?
We gently speculate on shared fears:What happens when we refuse to communicate? What happens when we stop listening to what is truly being said?
The impending grief feels familiar. The hollow ache that follows loss and serves as a reminder of the immense suffering unfolding in our world today. And still, we return to what grounds us. Via Love and Evolution is aptly named: we arrive at truth via love, and via growth.
Together, we explore multiple ways through—what to do with rage instead of spilling it onto others, how to recognize where your power actually lives, and how to discern what your work is in moments like this. As always, we leave room for levity, softness, and love, even when things feel heavy. This episode is an invitation to stay present, stay human, and keep recognizing hope.

We’re back!
We’re starting 2026 with a powerful, compassionate conversation alongside our beloved returning guest, Dr. Karen Nelson, board-certified licensed clinical psychologist and eating disorder specialist.
Together, we unpack the exhaustion and harm of the “new year, new you” resolution hype and the fear-based marketing that so often dominates the health and wellness industry. In the age of influence—where transformation is sold as a prerequisite for worth—we pause to refresh our collective awareness around mental health, disordered eating, and the deeply ingrained belief that we must become someone else in order to simply be.
Dr. Karen brings her signature blend of clarity and comfort, reminding us that we are not broken things to be fixed, but normal humans with emotions meant to be experienced. With compassion and wisdom, she invites us to slow down, practice presence, and relearn how to trust ourselves. Always reminding us that - it's never to late and healing is possible!
Instead of rigid diets, glow-up goals, and grand visions that often deflate more than they deliver, Dr. Karen guides us back to our own lived wisdom. Not to label ourselves as victims of our circumstances, but to approach our past with curiosity—so we can more consciously shape our future. We already carry the innate ability to move from hopelessness to power.
This episode is rich with insight, reassurance, and practical reframes that serve us all. Cheers to the new year—and to trusting ourselves to remember we are already enough.

The P-word

Wednesday Dec 17, 2025

Wednesday Dec 17, 2025

Katrina and Sarah close out 2025 in deep reflection and celebration, honoring the completion of 41 podcast episodes this year. In this final episode of the season, they pause to feel the empowerment of that accomplishment—and to name all that has been integrated along the way.
Through honest reflection, they recognize a phase of growth now complete, emerging more dialed-in, turned-on, and increasingly trusting of the present moment. This way of being doesn’t happen by accident—it takes practice, pause, and a willingness to embrace our innate personal power.
Sarah reflects on the impact of her new favorite read, PUSSY: A Reclamation by Mama Gena, while Katrina names the phase she’s recently moved through—and what she can now see clearly from the other side. Together, they self-model what it means to learn through love rather than punishment, and to meet growth with compassion.
Finally, they pause—intentionally—taking a couple of weeks off to integrate and restore.
New episodes return Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Clear Connection

Thursday Dec 04, 2025

Thursday Dec 04, 2025

Episode 39 of Via Love and Evolution is a patient conversation about the realities of adult friendship—how we build it, prioritize it, and keep showing up even when life (and our wounds) get in the way.
This week, Sarah and Katrina unpack what it really takes to connect with others as grown, evolving humans. We explore the invisible barriers—timing, conditioning, fear, expectations, old patterns—that can make friendship feel harder than it should, even with the people we love most.
We each share personal stories about navigating connection while healing: how to stay open when vulnerability feels risky, how to discern, and how to keep reaching for each other when the odds feel stacked against us.
This episode is a reminder that adult friendship isn’t effortless—it’s intentional, imperfect, and deeply worth it. And healing doesn’t close us off from others; it deepens our capacity to relate, trust, and be seen.
Because we’re all just trying to build foundations that feel safe, reciprocal, and real.

Healing for Good

Wednesday Nov 26, 2025

Wednesday Nov 26, 2025

Episode 38 of Via Love and Evolution is a joyful, honest celebration of… not being fully healed yet...??This week, Sarah and Katrina dive into the real phases of healing—the ones that aren’t glamorous, linear, or finished, but grounded, deeper, and supported by better tools than we used to have.
Katrina opens the conversation with a curious question:What’s your primary intrinsic motivator—your wound or your wish? Are you moving from a trauma response, or from your heart’s true desire?
Together, we explore the human dilemma of the moment: finding balance on the spectrum between creativity and consumption. We unpack how to tell whether your actions are serving your calling or simply soothing old pain. We look at what genuine expression really is, and what it means to operate from mindful intention rather than old programming.
And yes—we ask the important questions, like:Do you have a PMA (positive mental attitude) on the road trip of life? What does intentional, present, embodied self-care actually look like? Sarah shares the most perfect example of her own intentional care practice for the coming season.
Through open conversation and real-time processing, we navigate what it feels like to grow, to slip, to reset, and to keep choosing ourselves. Katrina shares a powerful real-life example of how to respond with curiosity and compassion when your wounds start speaking, and we reflect on the truth that regret is simply a signpost: a reminder to live your purpose out loud, right now.
Because it’s never too late to change. And you don’t have to be "healed" to begin.

Meet Me In The Mirror

Wednesday Nov 19, 2025

Wednesday Nov 19, 2025

Episode 37 of Via Love and Evolution is a cozy catch-up after a bi-week, and we’re diving right back into the deep end. A real conversation about intuition, self-value, and seeing ourselves with clearer eyes.Sarah shares her experience completing a two-weekend Yin Yoga training—an initiation that left her intuition sharper, her awareness wider, and her inner world marked with undeniable signs of growth. We explore the symbolic moments that tend to arise during profound transitions and what it feels like to answer a call that you simply know is meant for you.
We move into the mirror principle and how it’s been showing up in real time. We talk self-value. Specifically, the internal metrics we’ve been conditioned to measure our worth by—and Katrina processes her current discoveries around redefining a skewed perspective to recognize our innate value from the inside out.
Naturally, our old conditioning popped in to say hello. The difference now? We recognize her voice. And we’re getting better and better at choosing alignment, truth, and self-trust. This episode is a reminder that surrendering to what’s ours, releasing what isn’t, and staying faithful to our inner knowing is the path forward. That’s how we do it.

Dream on, Witch

Thursday Nov 06, 2025

Thursday Nov 06, 2025

In this soulful and expansive conversation, Sarah and Katrina explore the intersections of self-expression, embodiment, and the long echo of the witch wound — the inherited fear of being seen, powerful, or misunderstood for expressing our truth.
What begins as an honest catch-up unfolds into a deeper dialogue about trusting the body’s wisdom, somatic awareness, and finding safety in being fully ourselves. They discuss what it means to take up space — to speak, create, and live authentically — while also having the support needed to do so.
Katrina shares her personal experience with the witch wound and how it has shaped her voice, visibility, and sense of belonging. The conversation opens further as Sarah expresses curiosity about dream interpretation, and Katrina shares two vivid dreams that revealed powerful messages from her inner world — symbols of intuition, healing, and the body’s quiet and wise knowing.
As the episode closes, the two reflect on the deep future — one we’re already seeding through our courage to be seen, to dream, and to trust what’s real within us. The future is deep, and we are planting ourselves there — as seeds. 🌙

Villain Era

Wednesday Oct 29, 2025

Wednesday Oct 29, 2025

Sarah and Katrina dive into their shared values — humor, freedom, and authenticity — and explore how these qualities shape the way they show up in life, work, and as leaders in their work and life.
They unpack what it means to live with intentional authenticity: finding acceptance and balance with all parts of ourselves, from the bright and celebrated to the shadowy and outcast. Humor becomes a bridge to health, brain deveolpment and connection, while freedom — in thought, expression, and truth — becomes the foundation for self-trust.
Together, they explore how patterns and conditioning shape our relationship with truth, and what it takes to rebuild trust with the “real you.” This playful and powerful conversation works to uncover their “inner baddie” — the bold, unapologetic energy within us all — and ask how to channel that power consciously, with love and integrity. From "Good Girl" conditioning to Villain Era.
This episode is a reminder that even our darker sides hold light, that levity is sacred, and that true freedom begins with embracing every part of who we are.

Self Care 4 Eva

Wednesday Oct 22, 2025

Wednesday Oct 22, 2025

Episode 34: sweater season and self care. A cozy and candid conversation, Sarah and Katrina settle into the rhythms of autumn — a season of rest, reflection, and nourishment. Between warm soups, cozy sweaters, and Sunday football, they explore what it means to care for themselves in body, mind, and home.
Katrina opens up about her personal self-care journey — from gut healing and thinning hair challenges to embracing a “health reset”. Together, they unpack the evolving meaning of self-care, moving beyond egoic hustle culture and old coping mechanisms disguised as self-love.
The conversation also turns deeply personal as Katrina shares an experience of receiving unsolicited weight loss advice, prompting reflection on body image, cultural bias, and the layers of shame many carry around appearance and worth. With honesty and compassion, she explores how to meet those wounded parts with care, gratitude and the desire to feel free and loved in her body.
As both Sarah and Katrina prepare for a season of rest while navigating motherhood and midlife transitions, they invite listeners to do the same: to nourish themselves like one would a plant, to tend to their inner garden, and practice the radical acceptance of being a multi faceted human — in every season.
