VIA: Love & Evolution Podcast

Welcome to VIA - our cozy little corner of the world. We are Katrina Bean and Sarah Morgando, two curious, loving and open-minded individuals who speak honestly about what it means to be human. What began as a meet up for dinner to reconnect after 20+ years and both experiencing sibling loss, has transformed into the creation of something bigger. We discovered the healing benefits of deep, authentic conversations; becoming more aware of the conditions that raised us (and the mistakes we made along the way!). Our meet-ups have always been our safe space. Now, we open our judgement-free zone to share with YOU. Through authentic exchanges around awareness and self-development, we bring a humanitarian light to the key aspects of change, cycles and personal growth. Our Podcast features impactful guest stories and raw conversation. We celebrate differences, favor the bold, and show up with curiosity in a divisive world. We dare ourselves to exist fully and openly; to learn a deeper truth about the world by understanding all who live in it. We desire to end stigmas, lessen fears and empower others to live authentically and inclusively. Listen in to lower your cortisol levels and experience community healing in our modern world.

Your Sovereignty Is Showing

Wednesday Jul 30, 2025

Wednesday Jul 30, 2025

The world is unraveling—and we’re still growing.
In episode 23, Sarah and Katrina sit with the weight of the world—naming the heaviness, the heartbreak, and the disorientation that comes with witnessing so much chaos, conflict, and change.
Through an unscripted, vulnerable (and spicy!) conversation, we process the emotional toll of navigating a world on fire—while still trying to hold our center, keep our hearts open, and make sense of it all *gestures broadly*.
We explore what it means to walk the path of personal growth when the ground keeps shifting—to hold multiple truths, to accept not always knowing exactly how we feel, and to live into a version of humanhood that was never modeled for us.
We speak honestly about sacred rage and quiet grief. About what to do with the old masks still being handed back to us. About the tension between who we’ve been and who we’re being called to become.
And yet—there is something deeply reassuring in the evidence of our progress: in the way we now pause, speak truth, take up space, and honor our own divinity. The version of ourselves we’re being called to become is bigger than we ever imagined.
We never said we couldn’t handle it. We just hadn’t seen it this clearly—until now.
No masks. No map. Just truth, rage, and sovereignty.

Growth Looks Good on You, Babe

Wednesday Jul 23, 2025

Wednesday Jul 23, 2025

In episode 22, we're talking about energy, expression & emotional freedom. This week on Via Love and Evolution, Sarah and Katrina get real about the therapeutic tools and inner work that have helped us reclaim emotional freedom—especially in learning how to take up space, make noise, and feel safe doing so.
We dive into the energetics of masculine and feminine (yin and yang), exploring how our energy centers connect and respond—whether in flow or when blocked. We open up about the challenge of receiving love and support after years of people-pleasing, and how withholding that reciprocity actually harms both ourselves and others.
This conversation is an invitation to reflect on the “data” of your own growth: How are your new patterns and practices showing up in your life? Can you notice the moments of ease, clarity, or alignment?
We'd love to hear from you—call in and share your story of self-exploration.

When Life Keeps "Life-ing"

Wednesday Jul 16, 2025

Wednesday Jul 16, 2025

This week, Sarah and Katrina ask: Is there such a thing as “good” stress?
Episode 21 gets real about stress in all its forms — the kind that breaks you down, the kind that builds you up, and the kind that just won’t quit.
They share personal stories about current stressors, past fears that still echo in the present, and the emotional weight of everyday life — from aging to ambition, from healing to holding it all together. It's a candid, in-the-moment conversation filled with reflection, real-time processing, and reminders that even the good things in life come at a cost.
Ignoring our pain has gone on too long, yet it still takes power to energize change. Is it possible to move through pain without ignoring it? To grow without burning out? What do we do when we’re hoping to feel like superheroes... but life keeps life-ing?
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by your own healing, or like the stress just won’t let up — this one’s for you.
We want to hear from you, too: How are you connecting — or reconnecting — with what pains you?

Wednesday Jul 09, 2025

This week, in Episode 20 Sarah and Katrina dive into a meaningful conversation about attachment styles — not just in relationships with others, but in how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.
They explore how attachment patterns are deeply tied to family of origin, nervous system regulation, and how those patterns can shift depending on how connected we are to our inner sense of safety and to what IFS (Internal Family Systems) calls the Self — with a capital S.
And yes— when two emotional wellness nerds get together to talk about attachment and awareness, it’s only a matter of time before the conversation turns to parts work. They dip a metaphorical toe into talking about a favorite and frequently referenced topic: Internal Family Systems.
We mean it when we say "No bad parts". Whether you trend clingy, avoidant or everything in between - this episode is for you!
Tune in for a curious, compassionate, and deeply human look at how we show up in relationship — with our past, our people, and all the parts of ourselves that are trying to protect and connect.

The Fraud

Wednesday Jul 02, 2025

Wednesday Jul 02, 2025

This week, Sarah and Katrina open up about a serious—and deeply unsettling—experience behind the scenes of the podcast.
A few weeks ago, we recorded what we thought was a powerful episode featuring our first male guest: a cis white man who came to us with a compelling story of trauma, recovery, and personal transformation. His message seemed aligned with our values of healing and authenticity. But just before the episode was set to launch, one quick Google search turned everything upside down.
We'd been played.
We discovered that we had been intentionally deceived. This guest withheld a significant and disturbing truth about his past — something that directly contradicted the values of Via Love and Evolution. That kind of manipulation has no place in this space.
We were duped, but we won't be silenced.
In this episode, we share the story of what happened, how it happened, what we learned, and why integrity matters more than ever in spaces of healing. This is a true story about discernment, boundaries, and the power of due diligence.
We nearly gave someone a platform they didn’t deserve — but we learned the truth. And we’re talking about it. Listen in a let us know your take on this shocking yet true story that we never saw coming.

In this episode, Sarah and Katrina sit down with Kate Vitela — registered nurse, sobriety coach, and fellow podcaster — for a raw and resonant conversation about addiction, healing, and realizing your worth.
Kate opens up about her personal journey through alcoholism and the profound changes that came with sobriety. With disarming honesty and humor, she shares the often-overlooked struggles of hustling through adulthood, chasing the feeling of being "good enough," and finally choosing a path of self-compassion and self-acceptance.
Her insights into the neurobiology of sobriety and recovery are illuminating — offering both science and soul to those navigating similar journeys.
After living through some of her deepest fears, Kate’s story is proof that resilience is real and rebuilding is possible. Sobriety isn’t easy — but you’re never alone, and hope is always alive and well.

In this deeply moving and powerfully relatable episode, Sarah and Katrina sit down with Cami Thelander—craniosacral practitioner, grief coach, and someone who knows the landscape of loss from the inside out. After losing her father at a young age, Cami carried the heavy burden of self-blame and walked through years of mental health struggles before finding her path to healing.
Together, we explore the power of embodied grief support, holistic somatic healing, and how coaching can gently guide us through the most painful chapters of our lives. What begins as a conversation about body-based healing and trauma-informed support evolves into a stunningly clear and soul-stirring definition of grief—and an unfiltered look at what it means to meet yourself in sorrow with compassion and courage.
This is one of our most heart-smart, human, and healing episodes yet. It’s an invitation to feel it all, to normalize the pain of loss, and to witness how grief can transform—not just break—you.

This week, Katrina & Sarah had the incredible honor of meeting with Jeanette Jurado, the iconic voice behind Exposé — an all female music group whose dance jams like "Come Go With Me" and "Point of No Return" and 80's ballads "Seasons Change" and "I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me" shaped a generation. What is also deeply meaningful and unique about this conversation is Jeanette's personal history with Sarah's family, and she shares a glimpse into a friendship that has transcended decades.
In this conversation, Jeanette shares the journey that led her from being a young woman who loved to sing to becoming part of one of the most beloved female vocal groups of the '80s and '90s. What was most moving was what she revealed about finding balance, gratitude for her experiences and the deep-rooted connection that still holds the women of Exposé together today.
From fame and fashion to family and friendship, from performing for crowds to finding peace; Jeanette’s story is one of resilience, grace, and staying true to yourself. The voice of Exposé returns with wisdom, warmth, and the rhythm of real life.
This one’s not just for the music lovers - It’s for anyone who’s ever believed in their truth, found their people, and for anyone who dares to follow their heart.

What will people think?

Wednesday May 21, 2025

Wednesday May 21, 2025

In this honest episode, Sarah and Katrina unpack the complex patterns of self-sabotage—a once-necessary survival-mode tactic that now threatens our growth, healing, and evolution. Together, they explore how seasons of change challenge our identity, test our capacity for transformation, and expose the emotional armor we developed to survive.
They reflect on growing up without the tools, language, or support to truly thrive, and how shame and judgment often became the currency for connection. Sarah and Katrina examine the internalized voices that keep us small, stuck, and second-guessing ourselves.
This conversation is an invitation to meet your survival patterns with compassion and curiosity. What do you need to develop the discipline and achieve gains in your self-trust muscle?
